The new Fanttik X10 series of tire inflators are the first truly portable cycling bike tire pumps from the brand. They take Fanttik’s expertise in portable electronics and repackages them into a compact size that is competitive with other pumps on the market. It’s a big upgrade from Fanttik’s previous X9 Ace which was bike specific but too large to fit in a jersey pocket. Fanttik has two variations of the X10 available currently, the $69.99 X10 Ace Mini and the $89.99 X10 Ace Tiny. Both pumps are almost identical in size with LCD displays and 120 PSI maximum pressure. The pumps are highly portable with built-in memory and an auto-stop feature once the target pressure is reached. The X10 Ace Tiny has a fancier screen with progress display, while the Mini has a more standard display design.
The Fanttik X10 Ace Mini and Tiny electric pumps are competitively priced and portable bike tire inflators for on-the-go inflation.

UNBOXING
The Fanttik X10 Ace Tiny and Mini pumps come in compact black and yellow cardboard boxes with glossy graphics on the exterior. Inside the box you’ll find:
- X10 Ace Tiny or Ace Mini pump
- 100mm Schrader extension hose
- Presta adapter (attaches to hose)
- Fanttik branded waterproof bag
- USB-C charging cable
- Instruction manual
Unlike other pumps on the market, Fanttik does not include or need a silicone cover as the plastic exterior is designed to dissipate heat. Also, there is no ball attachment included with the pumps which could be a downside for some buyers.
FIT & FINISH
Visually, both of the Fanttik X10 pumps have compact rectangular designs that can fit in the palm of your hand. Despite the differences in the Mini and Tiny naming the pumps are almost identically in size. The X10 Ace Mini is slightly smaller at 72 x 53 x 30 mm (2.8 x 2.1 x 1.2 in) vs the X10 Ace Tiny’s 72 x 59 x 30 mm (2.8 x 2.3 x 1.2 in). What accounts for the difference is the slightly longer valve that makes the pump a little wider. The dimensions and main features such as forward facing valve, rear LCD screen location and the air vent locations are the same between the pumps. Both pumps also have a USB-C port on the bottom which can recharge the pump’s internal battery in an hour. Fanttik has used a different visual design to help differentiate the models with the Ace Tiny having a more premium metal-like appearance.
The exterior of the Fanttik X10 Ace Mini has a black and gray color scheme with yellow accents for the branding. On the sides you have an unusual leather like texture on the gray panels with a bright yellow Fanttik logo. The top and front panels have drilled out holes to help air vent through the body which should keep the pump cooler with extended use. To operate the pump there is a bright LCD display which shows three digits on top and the battery status and PSI unit label below it. It’s a backlit screen with white text color and green battery circle indicators. This pump only displays PSI units and has a 120 PSI limit. There are three simple buttons to increase, decrease or turn the pump on/off with no additional features. It’s a simple design and uses a flashing number indicator to differentiate between the real-time air pressure and the target pressure.
With the more expensive Fanttik X10 Ace Tiny, the exterior of the pump has a shiny metallic finish on the plastic exterior. The Fanttik logo is in a more premium black finish on the sides along with more elaborate air vent designs that have circular cutouts and diagonal grooves. On the rear of the pump you have a glossy black panel that incorporates the display and three button interface. The power button is placed in the center with a green backlight while the plus and minus buttons are placed below it. Turning the pump on you can see the unique screen display which incorporates a green arc on the top to display the progress with the battery status, pressure and units displayed in a column below it.
The battery indicator has a four bar design with a large battery icon behind it to avoid any confusion. Holding the plus and minus buttons together for 1.5 seconds lets you toggle between PSI or BAR unit display. Fanttik uses the flashing pressure to differentiate between target and real-time pressure. The top arc is an interactive feature that fills up from the left to the right until the real-time pressure reaches the target pressure while you are inflating.
ON THE BIKE
Having previously reviewed the X9 Ace inflator, we were excited to see Fanttik release a truly portable electronic pump. Both pumps have nearly the same size as other popular pumps on the market like the Trek Air Rush or Magicshine Airro. It’s slightly larger than the all-metal CYCPLUS AS2 pumps, particularly the small AS2 Ultra but more than small enough to bring in a jersey pocket or saddlebag. Both pumps feel well built with a relatively light weight and enough ventilation to keep the pumps cool. The XT10 Ace Tiny has a fancier screen design with bright graphics that looks more unique while the X10 Ace Mini has a more standard display. It’s not clear if that difference and the metallike outer finish is worth the $20 premium as we found them to be functionally nearly identical.
While inflating, both pumps have a loud but subdued noise from the pumps with a nicely insulated design that reduces vibrations. Combined with the ventilated plastic bodies, that means the pumps do not overheat or become uncomfortable to the touch with multiple uses as we’ve seen with pumps like the CYCPLUS AS2 Ultra which require silicone sleeves. What is unique about the Fanttik pumps is that you can hear the motor ramp up with three distinct stages as it builds up pressure. Once it’s full power the noise is comparable to other pumps with a slightly lower tone.
We were able to inflate our 700×28 tire from 0-65psi an impressive 5.8 times at about 50 seconds each time before the battery ran out from a full charge. That is one of the best battery runtimes we’ve seen compared to the other pumps we’ve reviewed. Even after the fourth inflation, the body of the pump was only around 100 degrees Fahrenheit at some locations which made it warm but not too hot to hold. While the battery runtime was impressive, the battery indicator on the user interface was pessimistic with both pumps showing multiple bar drops after each inflation. Power cycling the pump would reset the battery to a more realistic value, we suspect the calibration of the battery indicator has some sort of issue. The X10 Ace Mini in particular went from 4 bars down to 1 after the first inflation but reset back to 3 bars after power cycling it. It’s a big negative as the battery indicator can make you panic, particularly if you are depending on it for a roadside repair.
THE VERDICT
Overall, we found the Fanttik X10 Ace Mini and Tiny pumps to be competitively sized and high performing portable tire inflators. While the Mini and Tiny naming convention is quite confusing, given that both pumps are almost identical in size, both pumps are small enough to easily carry and similar in size to other popular inflators on the market. Fanttik has tuned the pumps to remain comfortable to the touch by incorporating ventilation into the body and reducing vibrations while inflating. We were particularly impressed with the battery runtimes which allowed both pumps to inflate our 700×28 tire from empty to 65 psi 5.8 times in a swift ~50 seconds. The big downside of both pumps is the unreliable battery gauge which seems to show lower battery status after each inflation than what should be the true battery (note, the workaround is to power cycle to see a more accurate value). That said, the Fanttik X10 Ace Mini and Tiny pumps are great additions to the Fanttik lineup and are highly competitive portable bike pumps.
