The Black Bibs makes affordable cycling apparel without labels, that right, no logos, no labels aside from the one tag that has the mandatory labeling like size, origin, fabric composition and care instructions. This review is for the Women’s Ultimate Adventure Bibs. They come in two leg band color variations – black and olive with size ranging from XS-4XL.
The Black Bibs Ultimate Adventure Bibs has multiple pockets, mesh straps, and super comfortable chamois.

FIT & FINISH
The Ultimate Adventure Bibs are made with 80% polyester and 20% spandex fabric. The mesh straps are great especially for people with longer torso as they don’t dig into the shoulders.
There are two deep side pockets can easily hold your phone and then some. It also has two bonus pockets on the back bib that can hold a gel or two. The leg bands are elastic and don’t have any grippy silicone. The side pocket panels add compression and makes the bibs form fitting. On our 5’5”, 40” hips rider, the medium size with 7” inseam was a perfect fit.
ON THE ROAD
Let’s be honest, the chamois is the ultimate test of bike shorts or bibs and this one did not disappoint. YMMV but we found the chamois on these bibs to be the right size, not bulky, and very comfortable from the get go and stayed that way on our short 2hr ride. The inseam did not ride up and stayed put the entire ride without any assistance. The mesh straps did not dig in to our shoulders unlike the Utility Bib shorts which has elastic straps. The side pocket was deep enough to hold our phone. We did not end up using the back pockets as they were a bit awkward to get to.
THE VERDICT
While the lack of tags is refreshing, in a multi-cyclist household, sorting cycling laundry can become a hassle if you have more than one of these across anatomical genders as there is no gender identifying information. This minor detail aside, we found these bibs very comfortable to ride with. If you’re looking for a great pair of bib shorts that won’t break the bank, consider the Ultimate Adventure Bibs from The Black Bibs.
