As a part of POC’s 2026 cycling clothing collection, POC has released a new Raceday range. The Raceday apparel are designed to be high performance and aerodynamic with both male and female specific products. For this review, we have a men’s cycling kit that consists of the POC Raceday bib shorts and the POC Raceday short sleeve jersey. The Raceday short sleeve jersey retails for $170 and is constructed from recycled materials. There are three rear pockets designed to hold larger items and extended sleeves for aerodynamic gains. We’ve paired that with the $230 Raceday bib shorts which also have a race fit and lightweight construction. Together, the two Raceday apparel pieces should make an excellent cycling kit for warmer weather and faster rides.
The POC Raceday cycling kit combines POC’s minimalist design with a minimalist design that is optimized for speed and fit.

RACEDAY BIB SHORTS
No cycling kit is complete without a set of bib shorts which is why we have the matching Raceday bib shorts. POC only offers the men’s cycling bib shorts in two colors: sylvanite grey and uranium black. Both of the colors look good while the sylvanite grey is slightly lighter for a more unique appearance than common black bib shorts. The bib shorts have a classic two strap design with lightweight materials and raw cut leg hems to further eliminate any fabric bulk. Additionally, the bib shorts are UPF50+ rated for sun protection when riding in warmer weather.
The bib shorts are constructed from a 4-way stretch fabric which allows the material to stretch and contour around you. Even the elastic straps are well designed with a Y style cross over on the backside with thin mesh material for warm weather riding. POC has utilized their patent-pending Novus chamois which is designed for support while eliminating excess materials or pressure points. The chamois has a center relief channel along with multi-density foam to place support and cushion exactly where it is needed while riding.

RACEDAY SHORT SLEEVE JERSEY
POC has designed the Raceday short sleeve cycling jersey to be lightweight and comfortable for high intensity rides or races. The jersey is only offered in a short sleeve variation currently in both a men’s and women’s specific versions. POC offers the men’s short sleeve jersey in three colors currently: hydrogen white, sylvanite grey and uranium black. Although there are no brighter color options, the available colors match other POC gear and are part of POC’s unique color palette. As with most of POC’s gear, the jersey has a sleek solid color appearance with a simple POC logo on the chest.

To keep the weight down, the jersey has a streamlined short folded collar with slight V-neck for better it. There is a full length front zipper with a little splash of color at the end of the zipper pull. The main jersey fabric is constructed 84% recycled polyester and 16% elastane for stretch. The jacquard knitted mesh zones are 80% polyamide and 20% elastane. It’s a very lightweight material that is thin and elastic for warm weather riding. The sleeves are also extended which is a new trend in cycling clothes as they are more comfortable and have aerodynamic benefits. On the rear of the jersey you also have three large pockets and a zippered pocket for smaller items.

ON THE ROAD
To be honest, we were a bit apprehensive about trying out the Raceday kit. As the name suggests, the kit has a race fit which can typically mean tighter and more restrictive fit than recreational cycling kits. However, the medium jersey and bib shorts were comfortable from the first ride to multiple wash cycles later on our 6’1” 165lb test rider. While the kit has a sleek and next-to-body fit, the fabric is elastic and stretchy which allows it to stretch. We found it to be as comfortable as the POC Cadence kit, but with more premium details and finish. The chamois felt good from the first ride, to longer multi-hour weekend rides. Small details like the raw hem and extended sleeves on the jersey improve the fit of the kit by reducing fabric bulk.
THE VERDICT
Overall, we found the POC Raceday cycling kit to be a well made cycling kit with premium details. POC has taken their distinctive color palette and created a lightweight cycling kit that keeps riders comfortable and cool during hard efforts. We found the size medium kit to be comfortable on short and long rides with no pressure points or discomforts. Despite the race-fit, the kit is elastic which creates a next-to-skin fit without being restrictive. The color scheme also matches other POC gear with a solid color scheme and short collar to eliminate fabric bulk. As far as negatives, the only thing to point out is the premium price compared to other cycling kits. That said, the POC Raceday cycling kit is a premium and comfortable kit for riders looking for performance and comfort.
