Feedback Sports new Pneuma CC floor pump is a two-in-one floor pump that can be used as a standard inflation or create a high pressure burst of air for tubeless bike tires. The pump combines the brand’s high quality anodized finish with a concealed internal canister to accomplish both tasks. Retail price for the pump is $150 which has Feedback Sports characteristic premium red anodized finish. The pump is capable of up to 160 PSI pressure and has a foot lever to make it easy to switch between normal pumping and pressurizing the canister for tubeless tire installations. There is also a large 4” gauge with high contrast white background and 39.4” hose which makes it easy to inflate Presta, Schrader or Clik valves. As with all Feedback Sports products, there are replacement parts and excellent support to ensure the pump stays in service for the long haul.
The Feedback Sports Pneuma CC floor pump offers a seamless way to inflate bike tires and to mount tubeless tires.

UNBOXING
The Feedback Sports Pneuma CC pump comes in a very large box with cardboard protective pieces taped to the pump for additional protection during shipping. Inside the box you’ll find the Pneuma pump with some informational tags attached to it. Inside the handles you’ll find the ball and needle adapters tucked away.
FIT & FINISH
Visually, the Feedback Sports Pneuma CC fits perfectly with other Feedback Sports products thanks to its tall red anodized barrel and white branding. The brushed anodized finish looks and feels high quality. It’s a fairly large floor pump with a height of about 29 inches (2.5 ft / 73.6 cm) and a barrel adapter that is about 1.5 inches in diameter (3.8 cm). Unlike other dual-function pumps, such as the Topeak JoeBLow Tubi 2Stage which have thicker multi-piece barrels, the Pneuma has a single barrel with constant diameter. It looks more like a traditional floor pump with the dual function feature well integrated. For stability, the pump has a metal base with three flat legs and slightly raised shape.
The hose extends from the bottom of the pump and wraps around the handle and onto a clip placed at the center of the barrel. Feedback Sports has used a “smart” style pump head which works on Schrader, Presta and Clik valves without the need of adapters or swapping parts. The head uses a traditional flip up lever to lock onto valves with a plastic construction. To help reach different valves, the hose itself is a very long 39.4” inches (100cm) with a pliable rubber construction.

To switch between the inflating and charging modes, there is a plastic foot lever mounted on the bottom of the barrel. Titling it upwards activates the normal inflation mode (i.e. air comes out of the head as you pump) while tilting it downward activates charging mode (air does not come out of the head and pressurizes the barrel). Once you’ve reached your desired pressure, lifting the lever upward releases all the air in the chamber at once to help seat a tubeless tire. It’s an intuitive design that is easy to operate with your foot.

The gauge is mounted on the foot of the pump and features a 4” (102mm) design. Even with the gauge being so far down, the oversized gauge is easy to read with a high contrast white background and black print. The red needle moves quickly between the 10 and 20 PSI markings on the face. There are also BAR units shown in the inside of the pump between 0-11 in slightly smaller sized text. An additional yellow gradient from 0-80 PSI and a red indicator beyond 160 PSI adds some color to the display.
USABILITY
With its anodized red finish on the barrel, it’s hard to mistake the Pneuma CC Floor Pump for anything but a Feedback Sports product. On paper, the floor pump checks a lot of boxes: easy to read gauge, fast inflation, smart head and a stable design. The dual function charge mode is also very intuitive to use with the large foot pedal. We were able to quickly seat our tubeless tires on to the wheel after pressurizing the barrel and releasing the pressure. For normal tire inflation, the pump has a smooth and satisfying feel that quickly inflates the tire. Even the handle’s simple tapered design feels ergonomic with a non-slip rubber finish that feels comfortable.

There are a few key usability issues that you’ll quickly notice using the pump. The first is the fact that the one-piece barrel design – the entire barrel lifts up compared to other pumps which have barrels that slide into a static outer cover – makes it very difficult to move the pump without the hose clipped on. To reposition or move the pump you need to either pull on the hose, something that may cause long term wear, or wrap the hose back over the handle and onto the clip. It’s a minor annoyance but can become frustrating when you want to switch between bikes or the front and rear tires.
The other thing you’ll notice is that the pump releases a whoosh of air as you remove it from the valve even in normal inflation mode. This isn’t an actual flaw, there is some pressurized air in the chamber, but can be confusing and make you think you’ve unscrewed the valve core by accident. We haven’t experienced this with other pumps and it’s a by-product of the single chamber design. Otherwise the pump inflates quickly and has a smooth action that makes it easy to top off tires. We would have just liked to see a bleed valve to release air if you accidentally exceed your target pressure.
THE VERDICT
Overall, we found the Feedback Sports Pneuma CC to be a well made pump with a smooth and fast inflation. The signature anodized red aluminum finish on the barrel gives the pump a premium look and feel that pairs well with other Feedback Sports products. We were impressed with the dual function design that is seamlessly integrated with a foot pedal mode selector. Feedback Sports has nailed the ergonomics with the tapered handle and wide metal feet and has also made it easy to see the pressure values with an oversized gauge and high contrast coloring. The drawbacks of the pump is the fact that it has no air release button, it’s difficult to move with the one-piece barrel and that you get a whoosh of air when you remove it from valves. It’s a solid floor pump that nails the fundamentals but misses the mark with a few key usability features.
