The Ravemen TR150 is the brand’s most affordable TR series bike taillight and features a four LED lens design with great side visibility. It’s budget friendly with a transparent lens that ensures the light is visible from a wide 280 degree angle range. Ravemen offers the TR150 for an attractive $29.95 price which includes a seatpost, saddle and body clip mount. As the name implies, the TR150 has a 150 lumen output from the four LEDs lens. There are also several modern features such as USB-C charging, a brake sensor and automatic sleep feature to extend the runtime. The integrated 800 mAh battery allows the taillight to achieve a 18.5 hour claimed runtime in the low mode.
The RAVEMEN TR150 is an affordable 150 lumen bike taillight with bright output and excellent side visibility.

UNBOXING
The RAVEMEN TR150 taillight comes in a compact cardboard box with orange and black branding that matches the RAVEMEN logo. A cutout on the front of the box allows you to touch and interact with the taillight. Inside the box you’ll find:
- TR150 taillight
- Seatpost mount
- Saddle mount w/ 2 zip ties
- Body clip
- USB-C charging cable
- Instruction manual
- Warranty card
We’re happy to see RAVEMEN include all the mount variations with the taillight instead of offering them separately at an additional cost.
MOUNTING
RAVEMEN has incorporated a miniaturized quarter-turn Garmin mount that is molded directly into the base of the TR150. This is a very popular design that is a scaled down version of what you typically see on a GPS cycling computer. RAVEMEN includes multiple mount options with the taillight including a plastic saddle clip, body clip and a seat post mount. The saddle clip is a plastic design that snaps down onto the saddle rails and lets you mount the taillight right under the saddle for optimal visibility. There are also two zip ties included for additional peace of mind to secure the saddle mount to rails. It’s a very similar design to Magicshine Seemee taillights and simply pushes down onto round seat post rails. The high placement is the cleanest way to mount the taillight but may interfere with saddle bags.
We are also happy to also see a body clip included which makes it easy to mount the light on backpacks or clothing. RAVEMEN has used a thick plastic construction with a wide tab on it which ensures the clip won’t slide off. Finally, the seat post mount is a standard plastic and rubber strap design that wraps around the seat post. To make the seat post mount compatible with aero seat posts, the rubber pad has multiple cutouts with an inner cutout for aero seat post and an outer round cutout for standard seat posts.
FIT & FINISH
Visually, the RAVEMEN TR150 has a compact rectangle form factor with a fully transparent red lens. There are four LEDs placed vertically which together output 150 lumen in the highest output mode. The lens has a unique design with two circular lenses on the center LEDs and angled diffusers on the top and bottom to spread the light. It’s a fairly thick tail light with a transparent red housing that the battery concealed inside it. Branding on the taillight is limited to RAVEMEN and TR150 printed along the sides. The TR150 has a modern design with side bevels and an accelerometer sensor built into it as well. To charge the light, there is a USB-C port on the bottom of the taillight which is protected by a rubber cover.

USER INTERFACE
The RAVEMEN TR150 has a single button interface with a large rubber button on top. At first glance the white button looks out of place and a bit cheap, but after doing a few RAVEMEN reviews we’ve realized the button actually glows in the dark. The button glows green after it has received enough sunlight and then fades back to white with time. Unlike Magicshine lights, the button has no back illumination and does not show any battery status indicator. There is a separate blue indicator light that flashes when the battery is under 10% which is also used to indicate the charging state. A long hold turns the light off while a short press cycles through the six available modes. The auto-sleep and brake sensing feature can also be enabled or disabled by holding the power button for 3 seconds. We are happy to see RAVEMEN give the user the option to turn off those features as they can reduce battery life.

LIGHT OUTPUT
RAVEMEN programs the TR150 with six modes which include three constant options and three flash modes. The constant modes are high (20 lumen / 6 hr runtime), medium (10 lumen / 12.5 hr) and low (5 lumen / 18.5 hr) which is the longest runtime. The most eye-catching mode is the daytime flash which has the full 150 lumen output and a 6.5 hr runtime. It is an irregular flash pattern that does two on/off flashes and then a very bright burst. There is also a rapid flash which uses the same pattern but is limited to 50 lumen output and achieves a longer 11.5 hour runtime. The sixth mode is a night time flash which alternates from a ~20 lumen setting to 50 lumens and has an 11 hour runtime.

Thanks to the transparent body, the entire taillight is illuminated when the light is one and provides excellent side visibility. We were also impressed with the 150 lumen daytime flash mode which as great long distance visibility and a irregular pattern that grabs you attention. Even though the TR150 isn’t as bright is the RAVEMEN TR350 or TR500, it is more than bright enough for daytime or night time riding. In our testing the smart brake sensor mode was less successful as it would mostly turn on on bumps instead of gradual stops. The calibration could be improved, lights like the Moon Sports Helix Sense or Lumos Firefly do a better job, to detect stops to make this feature more useful.
THE VERDICT
Overall, we found the RAVEMEN TR150 to be a bright and budget friendly taillight. RAVEMEN has combined a four LED design with a translucent body that provides excellent long distance and side visibility. At only $30, it’s a very well priced light for a 150 lumen output. We were also impressed that RAVEMEN bundled a seat post, saddle and even a body clip mount with the taillight rather than making them optional. The daytime flash mode has a nice irregular flash pattern that has great visibility and a modern USB-C charging port. As far as shortcomings, the TR150 lacks a multi-level battery status indicator and has a poorly calibration brake sensor. That said, if you’re on a budget and looking for a bright taillight then it’s easy to recommend the RAVEMEN TR150.
